Jimmy calls it the better deal because extracting scarce money from Beth delights him more than taking millions from a corporation.

The Subway transaction has a closing deadline, the group searches for hidden money, and Russell Borchert's founding contract finally makes the proposed buyer inherit an unwanted institutional partner, changing Subway's calculation until the corporation withdraws.

The absurdity moves from the price to the paperwork. NewsRadio wins on an insulting number; Community wins on a clause.
