    What it proves. That an interviewer put Paul Simms's NewsRadio rule, that every relationship between every character was different, directly to Harmon, and that Harmon answered by describing Community as consciously pursuing the same objective from the first episode forward.

    What it proves. That the pairing matrix was a working tool, not an abstract ideal: names on a board joined by criss-crossed lines, read to find combinations that had received little interaction. Shirley and Abed were paired in “Messianic Myths and Ancient Peoples” because the board showed that gap.

    What it proves. That the Simms rule is visible in NewsRadio's own construction, with Dave's relationship to each colleague built on a different axis, before Community exists.

What this does not establish

Harmon does not say he took the rule from Simms. What is documented is that the comparison was put to him and that he described the corresponding Community rule as intentional architecture. Later scene-by-scene correspondences still need their own evidence; this packet gives them a production context, not a verdict.
