Five songs have both a Songsterr tab and one of our stem-built .gp5 drum parts. Ours are the corrected builds: across these five, 141 notated hits the audio does not support and 383 unplayable flams have come out since the first pass, counted by reading both generations of each file rather than from a build log. Across all twenty Appleseed songs the phantom pass has now removed 291.
How each number was obtained. Our side is read out of the
.gp5 with PyGuitarPro. Their side is Songsterr's own notation JSON, fetched from
dqsljvtekg760.cloudfront.net/<songId>/<revisionId>/<image>/<partId>.json, the
path their player uses. Songsterr writes repeat barlines and we write the part out flat, so bars
are given both as written and as played. A dash means the field does not exist on that side,
which is different from a zero.
Their notation carries no ghost and no grace field on any note, only fret and string, so those are absent rather than zero. Ours carries 316 articulated notes.
Songsterr's schema has no accent field, so their accent count is unknowable rather than zero; ours marks 197.
Theirs is written with 4 repeat marks, so its 77 written bars play as 85. Ours is written out flat. Compare the played numbers.
Ours is written in double time against theirs: the tempo ratio is 2.08 and the played-bar ratio is 2.05, both close to 2.0. The two transcribe the same music at different note values, so neither is wrong, and any raw bar or note total across them is incomparable.
Theirs carries 8 tempo marks (80 to 90 BPM); ours is one fixed tempo of 187.
