Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Bass and Drums in a single .gp5,
built 2026-08-07. Every previous Appleseed Cast file shipped with one track.
Twenty Appleseed Cast .gp5 files were built from the DrumSep 5-piece splits and
they are good drum transcriptions. Every one of them contains exactly one track, Drums.

Uploading a one-track file as a revision to an existing Songsterr tab is what removed the
guitars and bass from the page. The four saved part files under
_outputs/songsterr-lost-tracks/ are those displaced parts:
Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Bass, Drums.
The drum build and the human tab disagreed on tempo, so the audio settled it.
The drum stem 04 Mare Mortis-drums.wav is 208.6 seconds long.
| Source | Tempo | Bars | Implied length | Error vs 208.6 s |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Songsterr human tab | 125 | 111 | 213.1 s | +2.2% |
| Our stem build | 136 | 114 | 201.2 s | −3.5% |
The build's own confidence record says the same thing. 04-Mare-Mortis.tempo.json
reports subsets_agreeing: 0 out of 2, phase_error: 0.237 and
backbeat: 0.229 against a random_baseline of 0.25.
The backbeat score sat below chance, so 136 BPM was never a confident reading.
The drums were re-detected from the same DrumSep 5-piece split on the 125 BPM grid, which puts both halves of the file on one clock.
Songsterr's pitched parts were converted from its own notation JSON into Guitar Pro tracks and joined to the re-detected drums. Note counts were compared against both sources after writing and re-reading the file.
| Track | Instrument | Strings | Bars | Source notes | Written | Result |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Lead Guitar | Electric Guitar (clean) | 6 | 111 | 500 | 500 | match |
| 2 Rhythm Guitar | Electric Guitar (clean) | 6 | 111 | 1737 | 1737 | match |
| 3 Bass | Electric Bass (pick) | 4 | 111 | 768 | 768 | match |
| 4 Drums (stem-built) | Percussion | 7 | 111 | 1963 raw | 1777 | gated |
Guitar tuning is Drop D, [64, 59, 55, 50, 45, 38]. Bass is
[43, 38, 33, 26]. Both were carried over from the Songsterr parts rather than assumed.
The drum figure of 1777 is the ledger of 1963 minus 186 removals the writer accounts for by name,
so the shortfall is explained rather than lost.
The drum render gate passed 20 of 20. One fixed staff slot per drum family, kick never sharing with the side stick, ride written as GM 51, 189 of 189 ghosts carrying the staccato dot, 169 of 169 accents surviving, 19 of 19 flams surviving as legal grace durations, and the total note count matching the ledger at 1777.
Mare Mortis, all 4 parts (.gp5) The Songsterr tab
Note counts and the render gate are read out of the file. Whether the drums line up by ear against the recording is a listening check, not a file check. Both halves now share the 125 BPM grid and bar 1 is the start of the audio for both, so they should track. The confirmation is loading it in the Songsterr editor with the audio attached and watching the playhead.
_outputs/songsterr-merge/simple-forms/, so it is the next one and needs no new fetch.
